++ on this feature that would really make openmeeting the most complete
opensource
web meeting application IMHO.
Again congratulation for the (already achieved) great work.

Very good.
Sometimes I wish I could do meeting with more than 4 participants on the full
screen.
(I mean, if I could resize the videoview area to full screen、there is no chat
and no
whiteboard, off course)
It is ok that the default is 4.

++ for 6+6 meetings. I already have a need for that. Shrink the height of the
chat/file area?
Also, if there were an option to allow audience audio in the 1-to-many that
would work well for large meetings,
where the moderator could be handed off as needed to provide video.
Great work!

Can I suggest that the conference window layout be changed to suite more
participants.. how about running the AV window along full screen at top above
chat
and whiteboard..ie. webcam windows are one deep, side by side.. I think about
6-8
could fit in a 1024x768 screen... whitboard would lose some height but space
could
be saved by eliminating the title bar in AV window..and chat would be higher..

I assume you have just done server side code for now?
In admin there is just an error label next to combo box where you configure
number
of participants for a room..also when entering meeting room, it still only
accepts
max 4 participants despite setting of 8 in admin.
Would you conider my idea on layout about?.. I think max number of participant
which
can be configured should be how ever many AV windows will fit in frame set to
full
screen width and one deep.. about 8 or 10 I think

=> no both client server
you have to re-install the server-side to get the necessary labels.

when you say "reinstall".. I have recompiled.. do I have to delete database and
run
install copmmand again? (or shoud install update an existing database?)

This feature can be tested starting by r1074
This feature needs some extended testing as it effect nearly every aspect and
deeper
modifications.
Also you now have a quite powerful possibility to change the hole layout (fixed
Issue
355), so you can enable whiteboard and Chat/Files/User tab and make a 16x16
video-conferencing. The Configuration for each room can be done in the
Administration-Panel.

We changed the videoboard layout and made it more flexible with any number of
people.
It optimizes the size of the videos according to the number of people and the
videoboard size. We also added some resizing effects for improving the
usability.
If a user enters or exits the room the videos will be automatically resized.
The patch is discussed in this issue:
