About the Role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, mission-driven self starter to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on coding role with high autonomy and ownership on how to design the system, structure the codebase, and drive quality for the product. You will be one of the first 10 hires in engineering. As an early employee, you have the opportunity to wear many hats. Your ideas may shape key product features. You may need to conduct a technical walkthroughs on client calls to close a deal. Your voice holds weight as an early employee. Working alongside the founders and like-minded senior entrepreneurs, you have a chance to grow rapidly and build meaningful technology to better creator lives.
Responsibilities
Take part in planning, working with the whole team to define and develop features from 0 to 1
Work closely with Product Design to find creative solutions to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Design and implement scalable backend services and integrate third-party APIs
Optimize our CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient delivery
Understand how to balance speed of delivery with maintainable and reliable software
Help define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
Mentor co-op students and other members of the team
Experience
7+ years of experience working as a software engineer and building data-intensive frontend applications
Proficient in TypeScript and ReactJS
Familiar with Next.js or Node.js
Experience with GraphQL
Experience in SQL and relational database
Experience writing tests using frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
Strong understanding of containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)
Experience with serverless architecture
Nice to Haves
Python experience
Familiarity with LLM development
Experience with ETL and data pipelines
