6 years ago We worked on this issue for 9 days, starting from 30th of August. We succeeded to review a large amount of ways between motorway, trunk, primary, secondary, tertiary from Quito area. We use unclassified tag (in Rural areas) when the road cannot be classified as tertiary and it was unpaved. In Quito was 1129.635 miles of unclassified roads and we edited 159 miles.
Workflow for editing QA
- check if short road segments with a certain road class exist
- selected all bridges and checked if their length match ground through
Scripts for detect errors:
- smoothness problems
- digitization flip flop
- road islands
- possible roundabouts Visual check-tile by tile in the central area, also using Digital Globe and validation tool.

Description
In this project we edited road geometry in Quito, Ecuador and we focused on correcting existing roads as well as adding missing roads in OSM.
