For Hacktoberfest, yours truly revamped our code base so it would be easier for new people to contribute to the app. That mostly worked but unfortunately I also wiped away database persistence. This means that any data saved to a Terrastories app gets wiped away when the app shuts down. Not very useful.
User Story
Terrastories needs persistent database storage. This means that if you shut down the app, the data (images, video, audio, metadata) will persist.
A field technician should be able to run a command that allows them to export the database from the computer running terrastories to an external storage device (hd, thumb drive, etc).
Nice to have is a user interface that allows the field technician to perform the same database export.
Validation
[ ] Add data to a terrastories instance
[ ] Shut down application
[ ] Export and inspect terrastories database on external storage device.
@sudo-bmitch is currently working on this. Per voice conversation, he will push his work to Github and I will then test nag someone to validate and then merge. cc @rudokemper @mirandawang
