It would appear that the barbarian land units don't suffer from any terrain adjustments.
All of them can move freely on any terrain with full movement.
Is this by design? If so perhaps a rethink is in order. Being attacked by 1 or 2 barbarians is a handful as it is but not being able to flee into the forest/jungle or mountains without them following is more than enough.
