fix code block indentation and formatting with prettier

Description

This PR adds prettier for sane formatting of both code and markdown files.

Additions:

• installed prettier
• setup prettier default config
• added formatting through cli with yarn format, which will format src/ and docs/ folders
• added prettier as recommended extension for vscode users
• setup format on save for vscode users

Changes:

• formatted all code
• formatted all mdx and md files

closes #32

Additional context

We could also setup husky with lint-staged, to ensure no incorrectly formatted files are committed to the repository, regardless of IDE, but this would increase commit time.
