There are a lot of things that don't consistently work as intended with Ring of Chaos right now, most notably powers. Due to the procedural nature of the relic's effect, there are way too many interactions to account for, especially with a game that is still updating. We'll keep looking into it later down the road, but it's going to remain a little unreliable for some time.

Also want to note this as still actively happening, just got offered a 1 cost prepared draw 5 discard 5 that still does 2/2 for 1 mana.

Thanks for reminding me of this. The issue with making this relic more stable is that it would also limit the variety of cool effects it can generate. I've put together some options in the mod's config menu that let you choose how cautious vs inventive the relic tries to be: you can keep it in its current form or enable any of several restrictions on its generator that make it more stable at the cost of making it generate less interesting effects. These config options will be available in the next update for the mod!

This change is now in the game! I'll still leave this issue open for now because it's not 100% resolved (and so people know the config options are there), but you can now select different options for this relic in Mods>ReplayTheSpireMod>Config from the main menu.

Just to throw in some things on the topic, the RoC sometimes treats the downside of the card as the upside(by this I mean, for example, reducing the cost by 1 and removing the debuff applied by the card while not touching the damage it deals, it happened some time ago when I was playing Seeker, the mod character who has plenty of cards like "deal 8, gain 2 Weak".

Although that is definitely not the high-priority thing, your mod is awesome either way and if you prefer upgrading it by itself rather than increasing the mods' mutual compatibility, that is very understandable; just thought that this might be useful in the future at some point(for example, with Biased Cognition and Wraith Form, that both have built-in direct debuffs as effects)
