Provide guidance and clarity to students doing an ILC for upper division CS.

Look for example contracts from the past. Put ILC students into separate section in Canvas.

I've been talking with several people today who have helped me simplify and clarify what I'm looking for in both final projects and in-program ILCs.

To get full credit your project (and proposal) should involve:

I'll update these at FinalProject.md

Feedback and other questions welcome.

With your contract proposal, please specify how many credits you are seeking and what you would like them to be. Here's a rough table of time expectations for you carve out how much you think you can accomplish in a quarter.

Credits Hours of On-Campus Time Hours of Self-Study Time
4 4 6
8 8 12
12 12 18
16 16 24

Don't worry, you can always write follow-on contracts for future quarters to keep adding onto the same project.

Your independent in-program learning contract proposal should be one page long, although it can contain an appendix of any length containing all the context you think is appropriate to understand the one page. The one page contract should demonstrate your awareness of your own capabilities and interests, and your ability to make a time estimate.
