Black Screen #5777

Hi I have a big problem. Not only did the Max just crash sometimes, this “easy building” doesn’t work either. I only get a black image. Everything around it works.

Is there a solution?

My GPU: AMD Radeon™ RX 7600 Steel Legend 8GB OC My CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor

looks like the old AMD GPU issue has come back. Theres been a fix for the editor, has there been a recent driver update? I dont not whether the black screen in the building editor was ever fixed, but both were linked to AMD GPUs i beleive

Now I have updated everything and completely overhauled the PC. Now I have a white screen when I start, and I can't get into the program AT ALL. Crashes immediately. So things got worse, not better.

Sorry, everything is in German on this PC. I'm just German. But maybe you can still translate it. This should work with Google Lens.

I've not seen that error before im afraid. Have you verified your steam files and/or completed a fresh install of GGMax??

Yes. Reinstall, check for errors, have Windows check memory. Windows Defender permission given.....So much done, nothing changes.

Now my husband has got the GG working again. But the black screen from the beginning is still there.

Okay, I've received the same error in Game Guru Classic recently but I have narrowed down the cause. This error seems to occur if you are running other apps in the background that eat up your RAM memory. Its very likely this is what is happening here too. Especially since Max requires and uses more.

best to run only Max and no browser tabs etc in the background. Not sure if this is an issue with Max itself.

You listed your computer specs but haven't included how much ram you have?

@KawaiiPixel69 How much RAM do you currently have on your system? Also, are you running DevTest, Experimental or Default?
