Can’t send text to favorites

I have set up the app correctly as far as I know, but it only allows me to call my favorites.

If you scroll down on the widget configuration panel, there should be a slider that you can switch to texting with.

I tried that but my app doesn't have the slider. Judy the option to choose call or text. I have text selected. Still no luck.
