I think my wireless adapter driver is incompatible ? #67

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run reaver using backtrack 5

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to start attempting pin codes but it just says Association Failed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using reaver 1.3 through backtrack 5

Please provide any additional information below.

I am using a rt2800usb driver according to backtrack. I think from your wiki
that the drive does not work. Is there a way for me to use a different driver,
or do I need to buy a new wireless adapter? I tried to figure out from your
driver list which adapters support those drivers, but I can't figure it out.
Any suggestions? I would prefer a usb wireless adapter, so I can use it on my
laptop. Thanks.

Yes, we've had multiple reports of problems using the rt2800usb drivers.
Atheros based chipsets generally work well, as does the Alpha awus036h. We are
looking at options for adding support for additional drivers, and there is
already a ticket in to add support for airsrv-ng, which should give us better
driver support.
