4d extension #134

As @epapoutsellis mentioned, would the 4d extension be useful to incorporate into the toolkit? The obvious obstacle is the memory limits, so X-ray data might not be realistic to process. However, for medical people this could be of some use? @paskino any thoughts?

OK. I'm slowly moving to a 4D project at Diamond, hopefully will start adding some new modules here as well.
