Removed version import #5

This import isn't used, and it prevents the installation of the package.

Would you like help fixing the rest of the packaging/testing setup? I can make follow-up PRs that modernize the packaging setup, fix the tox run and add a docker-compose config for running a local redis server for testing.

Nice. I've sent you a couple messages on Gitter but I haven't heard back from you so far. Do you have a preferred chat service I could reach you on?

I'm moving all my chats/IM to Matrix (https://element.io/get-started @tronic:zi.fi) but haven't finished my setup or done Gitter bridging yet. Until I get that sorted out, Github issues should do fine for development discussion.
