Currently python-dotenv already will search for .env file in the working directory (beside the proejct root), so users can be expected to run the command in any directory given .env is located in the directory or an appropriate envVar has been set. The message shown when no such envVar is found is also helpful.
We could provide guidance on this in README.md, but program-wise it looks pretty good to go as it is. Closing this one as wontfix.
