For the MESM graduating class of 2022, 69/92 students responded to the initial job placement survey. ALSO NOTE, should be 74 students, not 92 (many dropped due to COVID).
For the MEDS graduating class of 2022, 24/25 students responded to the initial job placement survey.
Why? The valueBox stats draw from 2 different datasets: Initial Placement & Active Placement. Bren alumni are surveyed post-graduation about job placements. Active Placement includes data on ALL survey respondents, but only include job status (full-time career position, temporary i.e. fellowship/internship position, continuing higher education, still searching, etc). Initial Placement contains much more detailed information but only includes those who were placed in full-time career positions. Therefore, the total number of respondents are technically different between the two (for example, for MESM grad class of 2022, 69 alumni are included in the Active Placement data, but only 52 appear in Initial Placement data (as those are the alumni in full-time career positions at the time the survey closed). The career team wants to brainstorm a better way to be transparent about the total number of respondents compared to the number of graduating students, but needs to think about which of these respondent values to use.
