License? #13

Hi Jeff - was wondering if there's a particular reason for the NASA license rather than CC0. The NASA license would prevent someone from using this code in conjunction with other open source code that were not their own original development work. I'm trying to lean toward CC0, myself. https://github.com/USEPA/FRS-getfacilities-samples/blob/master/LICENSE

Dave,

As I understand it,that is the license required of us by EPA OGC. I would VERY much prefer a CC0 license as well, but I don't think it is "allowed" by the powers that be.

Granted, I didn't push much on this and was, for this anyway, just doing what I was told!

Unfortunate... Maybe at some point we can educate them on the problematic nature of the NASA license and push for cc0...

Would love to. But I can't even get a usepa repo with outside collaborators with pull only access! Aaaaarrrggh!!!!

Might be interesting to see what comes of pushing out a repo with a different license? Hmmmm......

And I do know that these comments are public!

At least we've gotten this far... Hopefully the rest won't be too far off.

I hope. Everything seems to be a battle.
