It would be nice to have some documentation on how to parse the common filepaths we use. For example: modis, wv2, etc.
I have some example parse format strings in this .sql which was used as part of a data product database.
USF-imars/data-docs might be a good place for this but a standalone .md or .ipynb here would make sense too.
