1 month ago Thanks for the report. This has not been a problem for others so it might be system specific. That makes it hard to troubleshoot and there is no cura.log file to look at.
You might have to remove the 5.7 Configuration folder manually. If you have custom definitions, materials, etc. then you should back it up. You might be able to get by just changing the name of the 5.7 folder so your new installation can't find it. In Windows File Explorer go to "C:\Users_Your_UserName\AppData\Roaming\cura and delete/rename the 5.7 folder. If there is a 5.8 folder then delete/rename that one as well. Then try re-installing Cura 5.8.1.

Reproduction steps
dopo aver aperto cura 5.7 ho fatto il download del 5.8.1,installazione ok..comincia a caricare...e si blocca con la ricerca dei pacchetti...cancellato il 5.7....cancellato e riinstallato 5.8.1.....niente...si blocca sempre li.... qualcuno sa come posso risolvere? grazie e ciao a tutti
