2070 Super RTX not mining #165

Closed Sh4r3catyt closed 3 years ago

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

Yo, this victim is not mining on a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER the miner is not starting i open up Processhacker on his machine and Taskmgr. notmin

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

If you search for --cinit in the Process Hacker nothing appears?

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

nope nothing

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

And all the settings are correct (same .exe works on other computers)? Is sihost32.exe running? Can you also scroll down on the Task Manager page in the screenshot so I can see the driver version?

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

sihost32.exe is the last file in Processhacker and yes the miner works well on every other client

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

driver

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Hmm, those drivers are new enough, I have an RTX 2070 so it definitely works for that card. Is it possible for you to run this as administrator: MinerCheck2.zip? You should also run Process Hacker as administrator if the miner was started as administrator. Otherwise you can built a new miner quickly with most of the same settings and "DEBUG" enabled to see if you get any error messages. You shouldn't really get any though I think since the watchdog is running.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

okay thx i will try it

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

check

i create now a debug miner

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

it does not show any errors

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

And you started the MinerCheck and Process Hacker as administrator? Only reason it would ever really close if the settings are wrong or if the computer can't connect to the pool, what pool do you use?

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

its 100% working settings and i open everything as admin and i use 2miners

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Can you try another pool? A lot of people have had issues with 2miners not working on all computer, the pool might have IP blocked the persons IP or there is something else wrong with their servers.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

okay i will try nanopool

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

hm still not working i dont see any errors from the debuger

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Hmm, then the injector works as it should, can you send the nanopool settings you used? You can also try and run this to see if the miner can run at all: Test5.zip, that's a console enabled version of the miner so it will show a console.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

Unbenannt

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

You forgot the port: 9999.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

oh shit i will try nano pool again

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

Unbenannt

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

still not mining at Nanopool

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Hmm, so then the miner itself works. I made some changes to the checker, can you try running that? MinerCheck3.zip.

Also keep in mind that Ethereum will hardfork in 2 hour and a half hours: https://ethernodes.org/london which will reduce miner profits by burning some of it. You can still keep mining ETH but the profits will be lower, if you want to switch then you can mine ETC or any other Ethash coin or you can continue mining ETH as well.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

WTF is thi for the whole world that eth brings not that much profit anymore?

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

Unbenannt

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

WTF is thi for the whole world that eth brings not that much profit anymore?

Yes of course, ETH will have further hard forks to reduce it since they want to ultimately move away from Proof or Work (Mining) to Proof of Stake (staking). https://blog.ethereum.org/2021/07/15/london-mainnet-announcement/. You can still mine any other Ethash coin or Ethereum Classic without issues, they aren't planning to move to Proof of Stake ever.

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

And since it correctly detects the GPU and everything I can't really find a reason why it wouldn't work except if the settings were wrong, does the nanopool miner you built work on your computer but not his?

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

yes, the miner works fine on all other clients expect this one guy

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

I can't really think of a reason why except if the 2miners pool had banned his IP or ISP. Did the nanopool build work on any other computers but not his?

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

i didint tested the nanopool build on other clients

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

can i mining Ravencoin with your ETH miner because ETC is not that profitable like RVN

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

No not in the current version though I plan to add it, I haven't added it so far since I would have to remake a huge chunk of the miner (since ethminer isn't built for multiple algorithms) which I haven't had time to do, I don't mine Ravencoin though since it lags my computer a lot more than ETC.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

ohh okay thx

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

Bro i dont see a big difference then before at mining ETH

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

It will take a while to show, you can see the burned Ethereum per block live here: https://etherchain.org/burn

Perhaps the most widely debated change that EIP 1559 implements is one that affects miner rewards. With the upgrade, miners will receive reduced transaction fees and become more reliant on block rewards, transaction tips and potentially “maximal extractable value” (MEV) for rewards.

It's all quite speculative so you won't really know what will happen.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

oh dude this update brings nothing

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Well, it brings quite a lot of changes but how it will affect price is very speculative, the fork in December (the difficulty bomb) should have quite a big impact though.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

Unbenannt hm this updated banne dmy adress ?

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

No I don't think so, the 2miners site is quite buggy so try to reenter the wallet address and search again.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

hm i hope because im scared xD

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

The update is just to the Ethereum network/nodes, it shouldn't affect anything else.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

so i dont lose profit from mining?

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

No one no longer gets any Ethereum from the transactions people make (the transaction fee), now it only gives block rewards and MEV rewards so yes theoretically the profit should be lower since you lose a part of what is mined but the price could increase which would neutralize it since you get less ETH but the ETH could be worth more. This makes it very speculative whether profits will overall go up or down.

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

so there are no transaction fees anymore?

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

There are still transaction fees but you don't get paid any of them when mining a block, they get burned instead (disappear permanently).

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

hm okay :/

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

but i cant visit my adress but other ones

Sh4r3catyt commented 3 years ago

ahh nvm my ip got blocked for my own adress xD
