Remote config change not working? #377

I was so much worried of getting my web panel hacked. So I just decided to only use backup using remote config. But for some reason I changed some config but it doesn't really change. For example, I changed from hashvault to nicehash config + I added api-endpoint too to see if i can really connect to web panel later if I want somewhen

My 2 of devices were running in hashvault for test. But even 100minutes passed, it's still mining on hashvault. Neither it added to nicehash or web panel.

Can I ask if remote config function still working?

Q2. Also can I ask if I use private Linux VPS IP for hosting webpanel, will it be safe from my web panel getting hacked?(The Method once uploaded on Miner Builder github in issues section. Which using Chmod 777)

I really wanna use your panel without any security issues

Would be so much thankful if you could reply to my issue

The "Remote Configuration" works, are you sure that you used the "raw" link and if you used Pastebin are you sure that it's set to something like "Unlisted" and not "Private"=

The web panel right now should be fully secure without adding or changing anything.

with adding this key security function?

You can add that but it has nothing to do with hacks (though it could preemptively stop an attack), it's just to prevent your web panel from getting spammed.

The remote config is surely working becuz it changed to nicehash after I deleted "api-endpoint"

Meaning there is some problem connecting to web panel from using remote config.

I accidentally didn't enable api-url when at the first setting the miner.exe so only enabled remote config and bought crypt service. Q1. In this case of disabled api endpoint function at first miner setting, will it still connect to web panel only by setting "api-endpoint" in remote config?

Q2. If Q1 is true, I setted web panel address using Linux vps ip address/Foldername. In this case, do I have to set it like "api-endpoint": "http://ipaddress/api/endpoint.php"?

Or "api-endpoint": "http://ipaddress/TheFolderName/api/endpoint.php"?

Thx for reply btw

A1. Yes it will work no matter if "API Endpoint URL" was enabled when building the miner or not. A2. If you use a subfolder for your web panel then it should be http://ipaddress/TheFolderName/api/endpoint.php, if you visit that page in a browser then it should show a page saying that the endpoint is up and running.

Ya I think I solved the problem. Last question please sir. Is it really true hashvault bans many weak miner connected wallet?

Becuz I want to make sure it's just rumor or real. Since I heard someone mining with hashvault 3000miners without using xmrig proxy and didn't get banned for 9months( this is also rumor too)

Tysm for reply

Great, and regarding HashVault, this is what they say on their main pool page: https://monero.hashvault.pro/en/
