The damage penalty from spiked rush should be consistently avoidable, otherwise, players in daily runs will randomly get more points than others just because they found something along the lines of hidden flight. Even if the damage penalty isn't removed from the spikes, removing the diagonal spikes would allow players to weave in between them and still take the item safely. This would make it entirely skill-based.
