Seems to be a common issue that began 2023-02-28. SnapDownloader implemented a fix today. Hopefully the solution will propagate to all the yt-dl implementations.
Indeed, it seems that the fix has not been applied to all implementations. As for me, I just uninstalled the application and reinstalled it, but the problem persists. Thank you for your response :)"
naslars: You are not alone. I thought something was seriously wrong with my machine yesterday morning, so I went googling. It looks like upstream is working on it. https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/issues/6369
Oh, thank you. I was starting to think that I was the only one having this issue. Thank you for letting me know about this conversation. Unfortunately, I will have to settle for being a mere reader for now, as it seems that conversation has been locked as spam and limited to collaborators. Thank you again @chuckofthenorth !
I know they are actively working on it so we just need to be patient. This shall pass. It seems like YouTube is is in an arms race to throttle downloaders, so they can force ad viewing. I'm grateful the open source developers have our backs.
BTW, despite being slow, I have not had any downloads fail.
Exactly, it seems that the issue only affects incoming downloads on YouTube and not on other sites. Yes, it's unfortunate what's happening... I also hope that they will be able to resolve the problem. I tried again this morning and it's still the same.
Fixed in new release of yt-dlp.

THANKS for the super fast turnaround on the fix! Much appreciated!
thanks you so much @Unrud and thanks for all your responses also @chuckofthenorth
I have been using the application for over a year and I have never had any problems, but for the past 4 days, the download has been very, very slow, with a maximum speed of 20kB/s. Everything seems to be working fine on the machine side, and my internet connection is also good, so it must be an issue with the application. Does anyone have a solution to this problem, please?
