Dropping support for this theme, PRs still welcomed! #79

You must have noticed that this theme has rarely been updated within the past year, and that's because of my time constraints. After a year, I've finally decided to officially drop support for this theme, however, I'm keeping this repo alive for PRs. You can also fork this theme and modify it all you want as long as it satisfies the license.

I understand you're dropping support but I'd like to express my appreciation for this theme. I use it for my personal blog: howisjt.com

@howisjames I'm glad you liked the theme. Recently, I've been working on a new theme from scratch, which I've optimized for performance and search engines and lots more. I'm currently deciding whether to open-source it or not considering the multitude of weeks I've spent working on it. I might release it soon so stay tuned. Here's how the new theme looks if you're curious. https://bitbanged.com

Hey @UtkarshVerma !

Dream Plus has been by far my favorite Hugo theme for my blog since 2018. Until recently, I'd been quietly modifying it to my tastes, but when I went to update my blog earlier this year, I noticed it wasn't as smooth when resizing the browser window as I recall it being before. Not too surprising, given the amount of changes to CSS and browsers in the past 5 years. However, it was bugging me and I wanted to fix it.

Well, that led me down a rabbit hole to Wonderland Hugothemeland and I updated...basically everything in the theme. Made it a Go module, added light/dark theme detection, added site search, modernized the CSS and JS (and updated the JS libraries), and added a few more little customizations.

Given the significant changes that I've made, the length of time since you've dropped support for it, and the fact that the theme's been unmaintained for so long that Hugo Themes has dropped it off their gallery, I've decided not to go the pull request route, and instead revive it as the "new" theme, Lucid Dream, in the same vein as what you'd done with the original Dream theme, including taking over support for it. I've taken care to still give you proper credit, of course, while also redirecting support inquiries and various example references to myself, so you shouldn't be mistakenly contacted.

I'm still in the process of getting the last bits ready for submission to Hugo Themes, but I figured it's at a good enough spot now to let you know about it and make it more broadly known. Feel free to point people to Lucid Dream for a maintained continuation of the theme.

Thank you for the work you put into making Dream Plus what it was during your time maintaining it. I greatly appreciate what you made and am glad to have found it when I did.
