add/remove gene profile significant lag on remote server #146

I have to increase the priority of this, as I found it annoyingly slow. Anytime you open the list, it get stuck for quite a few seconds. Network traffic log indicates that the bottleneck is the front-end processing, instead of network transfer. @Shauro
