The Talescripts repository will no longer automatically be updating the old VeggieTales, or anything at all for that matter.
Quick instructions for where to put your new forked repository is here. Wiki which will be the official location for the scripting reference from now on is here.
Though Automato 2.00 is released and should work fine, VeggieTales v1.78 does not yet update to it automatically, I'd love to get some basic testing from the ATITD community before flipping the switch to upgrade people (though, as noted, VeggieTales 1.78 and older will no longer receive script updates until I do).
If anyone who still plays ATITD is reading this, please download and test out Automato 2.0 for me, thanks!
Hello Talescripters!
I'm wrapping up version 2.0 of VeggieTales, now rebranded as "Automato", in which the major improvement is supporting multiple git repositories, one per game (plus a repo for common scripts). The per-game repos I have migrated so far (mostly small stuff for testing) can currently be found under https://github.com/DashingStrike.
I would like to keep the history of this repo in tact, and the easiest way would be if the current owner (Vaevictusnet) could transfer ownership to me and I can rename it (sorry, haven't seen you on Google Chat for a while, otherwise would have chatted with you there about my plans). Alternatively I can essentially just fork this and keep the history that way.
Either way, the method of working with Automato + GitHub will be slightly different now, you can simply clone the appropriate repo into a subfolder of Automato/games/ (since each game has it's own scripts/ and images/ and data/ folders), and can even have multiple copies if you want under different names (e.g. one that's from git, one that's patched through Automato, maybe one for another branch you're working on).
All people who currently have access to this repo will have access to the new repo as well, as well as the common scripts repo (most of which is from Talescripts contributors).
