Hi,
I'am running a Mac Pro with an GTX 970 TI with the actual 10.10.5, security update 2016-001 as well as the actual nvidia web drivers and I have the exact same problem like you have, even that I don't hear any cliks in the background, dota2 just crashes every single time when the match is loading. I have this in ranked as well as all pick games, single drafts etc. What I am able to load is the 10on10 mod. Can you check that out for me?
Even worse, after todays steam update I dont even get a crash report that I can show you. Dota2 just stop minimising to desktop again. That suxxx!!
Plz Valve, help us to fix this problem. Any Feedback is highly welcome!
@AbduGadir, can you post the full system information from Steam plus any console output you see?
@Multisaft, you need to open your own issue as you may have a separate problem.
@Multisaft, when you open your issue please include the full Steam system information and console logs in it.
I checked my computer again. I think I've got the same problem as Multisaft. It's a mac pro with gtx970 with latest nvdia web driver(346.02.03f04) and osx 10.10.5. And according to system information by steam console, it's called driver 1.2. I've tried both the -autoconfig and -safe boot flags but still didn't get the problem solved. The game window just disappeared with no error warnings when normally the loading status of players should be shown. And dota2 started to synchronize in the steam console.
Everything was all right before the Jan 28th update.
Can you include your full system information from Steam and any console output?
If you don't run from a console you can add -con_logfile to your launch options. That'll create a file called console.log in your Reborn install under game/dota.
I will open my own topic in an instance. but here you have my consol.log file from a single draft play (the log does look the same on mmr games).
Is it the missing GL shader in the first line?
@AbduGadir, can you provide the extra information we asked for? We can't go any further without something concrete to look at.

I updated the Nvidia driver to 346.02.03f05 and installed the new osx security update. I'm not sure you can tell from the log. I also tried booting under Windows and everything is working perfectly. It seems that I'm having the same problem as Multisaft.
The game actually exits completely when it fails? Do you get any kind of popup message boxes or anything or does the game just go away?
Can you go to your Steam client and under the Help menu choose System Information, then post that info here? I'm most interested in whether you're getting any failure reports that have info on why the game is crashing.
Also do you get anything in /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ that refers to dota2?
Nothing in the directory /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports No warnings. And no crash reports. The game quit unexpected at the loading phase where you see the big dota2 label. After the new driver update, the game died quicker with only 3 seconds of loading time and then crashes. This one new experiment earned me another 24 ban and the 5th low priority single draft punishment.
Unfortunately when there's nothing reported like that it usually means there was a system problem, usually the OpenGL driver in a case like this. We'll have to see if we can repro to find out more.
Yeah, I think so. The Jan 28th update changed the console interface, which is possibly the cause. And the log mentioned some file missing in the shadercache folder.

You might want to try leaving the Steam overlay open and see if that helps, as reported in #745.

Every time after match making, at the end of launch screen (dota2 sign), I can hear lots of clicks in my speaker and the curser turned to busy and the game crashes. Tried dozens of time to restart steam, dota2 or reinstall then reconnecting but ended up with the same issue. This happens after the update after Jan 28 and everything was ok then. Watch and Bot games aren't affected. Sometimes reconnect works, but the game is almost over. Because of this problem, I've been reported twice and abandoned from gaming 24 hours. What wrong have I done?
