This game can be whitelisted At least it worked without a single problem right out of the box. Completed the entire game without a single crash or glitch.

Arch Linux GNOME 3.28.2 Nvidia 396.54

I also tried it and it indeed works out of the box with no problems, both the config option and the game itself.

@kisak-valve Requesting an XAudio2 label for this game...

Unfortunately, i am going to counter this white-list request and re-raise an issue that i have found. When trying to run the game, there is constant up/left button presses. This is true for both controller input and keyboard input. This is not only an issue with this game, it has been found in other games. I can confirm this is the case, because running the game in a different instance of WINE got rid of the problem, abet there is a new problem where the button mapping is wrong. Therefore, i don't think this game (along with any other games that has this problem) should be white-listed yet. Running Linux Mint 19. NVidia Graphics Card, GTX 1060

Your issue sounds like a controller issue. I think it might be helpful for you to provide a link to your full system information. I believe there is already a guide in the project wiki on how to do this.

I've never had this issue. I just came here to report that other than one or two momentary vertex glitches that are probably bugs in the original, I have not experienced a single issue with this game.

Ruedii commented 4 years ago

Oh, as a note, the game doesn't support direct controller access. It uses keyboard-based controller behavior. If you have an atypical keyboard layout this might cause issues. This is an upstream steam issue.

Try setting your controller settings in either the launcher or in Steam.

Setting the controller settings in steam allows for PWM based analog which is really useful.

Hello @soredake, fixme:vulkan:X11DRV_vkCreateWin32SurfaceKHR Application requires child window rendering, which is not implemented yet! in your log points towards https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45277.

Hey there, I tried this on the Steam Deck and it seems to work great so far. Is there any reason for this to be marked as unsupported? Other than having to chose resolution and controller (the same as it needs to be done for Sonic Generations, which is verified) I don't see how this game is not playable.
