[HL/DMC/TFC] Scoreboard doesn't show the name properly (Unicode) #1352

It only happens in Half Life, Deathmatch Classic or Team Fortress Classic. In Counter-Strike, Condition Zero or Day of Defeat it shows correctly

the name it was suppose to show is: "麗華"

P.S: I know there is a issue opened with a similar problem but I think it is different because this one, the name show up correctly in Counter-Strike

VGUI1 is unable to display Unicode because it supports plain ANSI only. There is no way to fix it without porting VGUI1 games to Unicode VGUI.

Right, this is by design and we have no plans to upgrade HL1 or TFC to vgui2 at this time.
