Cannot continue downloading the game #2348

I started downloading Half-Life 2: Deathmatch yesterday. I had about 1,5GB out of 1,7GB when I shut down the Ubuntu (without closing the Steam first). I opened the Steam the next day (today) and... HL2:DM was shown as uninstalled... I clicked "Install" at it then. I had to re-configure my 2nd Steam game library path, the game looked like continuing downloading (it was 96%), but the dialog hasn't closed. Then there was an error (I don't have it now, unfortunately) and game stopped downloading. I clicked "Install" again, the game is downloading, but... from 0%.

Your failure reports indicate problems in the update code in the Steam client, but they don't appear to be Linux issues and instead things are probably failing on Windows as well. You might check the regular forums to see if people are having similar experiences.

Hello @m4tx, are you still experiencing this issue with an up to date client?

m4tx commented 7 years ago

@kisak-valve I think I haven't experienced this issue since its first appearance. I guess this may be considered resolved.
