Dynamic collections improvements #6511

Your system information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

New Dynamic collections system is a great improvement over the old manual collections system, but there are still several features IMO that are missing before you should call the feature "complete" and roll it out to the general steam user base:

  1. Negative tag filtering (I.e. "FPS" -"Sniper" for a general FPS category excluding shooters tagged "Sniper", which I have as their own separate collection, likewise for Indie & Music games)
  2. Related to the above, collections should have some nesting capabilities (e.g. including the aforementioned Sniper collection as a sub-collection of my FPSes)
  3. Filters should also be available for other fields besides tags (it'd be nice to have some of my Indie Games grouped by dev/publisher at the top of the list of games instead of one large page of ~40 items)
  4. Related to point 1, OR functionality with tags would be nice for grouping things like FPSes and TPSes into one large "Shooters" category

I agree with all of your points.

I believe the feature request I submitted is likely a duplicate of your feature request. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/6521

My apologies for not finding your pre-existing issue before opening a new one.

I seriously want to be able to block certain tags. For example, I want a group of Unplayed Games, which should not have anything I've played, and nor should it have any soundtracks either.

Come on, Valve! Get on it! You even have a text box for store tags!

Bumping this, combining tags with OR should a base feature imo. Dynamic negative would also be great, but for now is easier to filter out unwanted games that pop in certain categories, than remembering to add them.

Would also love a simple "contains" filter for title and developer/publisher to easely group related game.
