Virtual-Universe-Earlty-Dev is the early development stage repository of Virtual Universe. When something is committed to this repository it does not mean it is final and there is no guarantee it will make it to a stable release right away if at all. Likewise the code in this repository is considered very unstable and only the faint of heart should use this code for testing purposes only. Please do not use this repository to run a production level grid.
If you are using WhiteCore-Sim please do not submit an issue report to Virtual Universe as we are unable to assist you. Any issues reported to Virtual Universe which involve your use of WhiteCore-Sim will immediately be closed and you will be referred to WhiteCore-Sim.
In addition please do not submit issue reports regarding Virtual Universe to the WhiteCore-Sim issues tracker as they cannot help you and they will be immediately closed and you will be referred to Virtual Universe

Describe the feature you are requesting:
The system avatars, skin, eyes, hair, apparel, and accessories are out of date (well over five years at least). Therefore we should overhaul this and incorporate new default mesh avatars, new skins, eyes, hair, shapes, apparel, and accessories in the default avatar system.
This is per the discussion at the last core developers meeting which saw the proposal meet with unanimous consent.
Has the feature been implemented by a similar project:
Other projects at the current time have not updated their default system avatars as of yet.
What other project similar to Virtual Universe has implemented the feature:
No other projects have upgraded their default avatars to mesh as of yet.

The Second Galaxy Development Team will consider the features after we have seen enough interest by users of Virtual Universe. The Feature must recieve at least five (5) core developers voting in favor of the feature for it to be included in a future release.
