Unable to add annotations on highlighting any hyperlink #118

Closed aimanfatima closed 6 months ago

Upon highlighting any hyperlink in a web page and then clicking on it, the link gets open and users are unable to add an annotation there.

Example- In this web page adding a note is not possible after highlighting the link.

The solution is to have the 'annotate' function in a mouse-over menu, rather having to click on the text.

How did you create the animated gif?

aimanfatima commented 6 years ago

I used the app Screenbits for screen recording. It created an mp4 file. And then I used an online-converter to convert it to animated gif.

I suggest using gyazo it has a one click gif and screenshot option it also automatically uploads it to gyazo and creates a link (which it copies automatically upon creation) for you to share with others https://gyazo.com/

Besides gyazo.com, there are a few others mentioned here: www.getcloudapp.com, www.cloudup.com, www.imgur.com, and www.gfycat.com (https://github.com/h5bp/lazyweb-requests/issues/170)

OBS (Open Broadcasting Software) ((its open source)) is also a great solution for recording and livestreaming... Just wanted to mention that but I believe we're straying off topic :)

I tried gyazo to create screen recording gif and found it is limited to 7 seconds, which I found is often not enough to show the bug. I ended up using gifbrewery (mac) http://gifbrewery.com/.
