Sluggish interface #472

Just installed Vocal flatpak on my POP_OS 18.04 a couple of days ago. The interface is very sluggish and at times I'll get a Wait or Force Quit message. During playback, if I try to skip ahead by 30 seconds, it will take 2-4 seconds for the click of the button for the function to engage.

Same experience for me on Arch Linux and also Ubuntu. It seems like the UI/net code are on the same thread so the UI freezes whenever the app is querying podcast updates etc.

Hello! I'm happy to report that Vocal has been re-written from the ground up, and makes use of much more threading now. Please try everything out in our new stable release once it arrives in just a few weeks, and let me know if you continue to see things being sluggish. Thanks!
