what is in the folder ~/.vim/bundle/vundle-reps/
? Why do you add it and not ~/.vim/bundle/vundle
to rtp
(around line 18)?
can you try to make a copy of your vimrc file and delete or comment out some parts to see what produces the error. Then you can post the smallest vimrc file which will still produce the error (your file is way to long for someone else but you to dig into). From my first scroll over the file only the first ~30 lines seem relevant.
You know, it was weird when I was setting it up initially, whenever I ran :BundleInstall
, it seemed to want to install the bundles in a weird spot and I thought that relocated that folder would fix it. But I couldn't reproduce the problem so I changed rtp
back to ~/.vim/bundle/vundle
without any problem.
Thanks for reminding me of that troubleshooting strategy for vim. I guess when one stares at the same problem for so long, you forget to revisit the "easy" troubleshooting strategies. What I found was that manually setting runtimepath
was the culprit. I deleted that line in my .vimrc and all my bundles loaded without issue on startup. Go figure. Thanks @lucc.
Hi there, I'm having trouble with the plugins not loading on startup. This same exact symptom as Issue #163 but the main difference is that I don't have a ~/.gvimrc file. Once I run :BundleInstall of course they all work fine. What do you think could be the problem?
my ~/.vimrc
On cold startup: My :echo &rtp
and my :scriptnames
and after running :BundleInstall
my :scriptnames
and my :echo &rtp
