Thumbnails different sizes #7825

@DanielnetoDotCom The gallery images became misaligned after the last updates. Thumbnails with different sizes. These images below are available for a long time, not a recent upload. Some alteration made the clipping of the images look different.

@DanielnetoDotCom Danny, this problem for me has never been solved. Thumbnails are always out of order. And now in these latest updates the problem has gotten worse. It's even cutting out the titles of the videos. Check out the image below:

@DanielnetoDotCom I think this problem has to do with the presets you defined for the image size. But here for me, the system does not have a size limit and does not automatically reduce the image. I've had this problem for over 1 year! I don't know what to do anymore.... I need to know... is there a maximum and minimum size for the image? Can the system actually make an automatic adjustment?

If it is the PredefinedCategory plugin, it has always been enabled.

@DanielnetoDotCom Look... what I'm doing now: 1- I installed a new Ubuntu 22.04, MYSQL, PHP 8.3 server in a new location, completely isolated from the current server. To exclude any type of problem you may have with infrastructure. 2- Installing the new AVIDEO. 3- I cloned the master site, only copied the database.

And to my surprise the problem continues. There is no image at the moment, because there is no image or video on the new server. Check that the titles of the videos are already cut. I tested other browsers and the problem persists. Categories are also not displayed.

This just tells me that it is either a problem in the code or in the configuration of a plugin. Can you tell me if there is any specific configuration that I am not seeing?

regarding the image, please share one image here I will try to reproduce on my side

@DanielnetoDotCom Sorry, the problem is relating to the same context as the home page. But I'm going to open a new issue about the categories problem. I try to be as organized as possible with open issues.

Let's go about Thumbnails. Check that the text is cutting, even if you don't define any image. image

A good question!

It's not a problem on my computer, nor does the browser... on my cell phone it appears the same way. I ask... is there a setting in any of the plugins that changes this? It must be some strange configuration...

OK! I saw your website... I don't know what is enabled on this installation. You know much better than me, that there are several settings that can be made that can change the layout and so on. For example, on your website, accessibility is not enabled! Which changes the home page. I'm not saying this is the problem. I'm working hard to keep things stable here.

Follow the images. The thing is, I discovered even with the default system image, there is a problem with the text limit, as I showed above.

@DanielnetoDotCom Danny, check the change here. Thumbnails text issue has been fixed. Thanks for resolving this issue. But the images have been readjusted. How can this be resolved?

@DanielnetoDotCom Danny, I believe the biggest issue of the misalignment of the images has been resolved... and also the title cropping has been resolved. Now the problem of the correct size of the images we need to define a standard. We have already discussed problems with correct image size in this issue. Can we reach a consensus on what the standard used is?

The website themoviedb.org, which uses thumbnails in vertical/portrait format: image

They work with the following standard: Width × 1.5 = Height Height ÷ 1.5 = Width image

@DanielnetoDotCom Analyzing the default image video-placeholder-gray-portrait.webp, I verified that this image already has an Aspect ratio of 1:1.5 (2:3). So I believe the problem is with the image input. I don't understand this process... whether the image must already be in a specific format or the system makes a size correction. Can you tell me more about this?

@DanielnetoDotCom Despite your efforts to solve these Thumbnails problems... it still exists... The images after uploading are incorrectly cropped. Cutting the poster, sometimes parts of the text or a face on the poster. Check this out please...

Yes, I could add this extra work, transform the images exactly 1:1.5 (2:3). But, that's why I ask... doesn't the system have a script to correct the images? I don't understand how this processing works.
