In preparing for the Showcase v2 launch, ~100 sites were audited and prepared with fresh screenshots and descriptions. That said, there are nearly 400 sites that exist in the old Showcase. While some have been brought over to the v2 site, the rest need to be audited, and this list of sites should be preserved in some way.
One idea would be to create an archive on Showcase that was separate from the main site listings. This would serve as a place for sites that appeared in the Showcase in the past, and the archive would grow over time. These sites would not require a full description, only a screenshot and a bit of metadata, thereby reducing the maintenance burden.
This concept needs more thought, but I wanted to create an issue here to get the conversation started.
