I have 2 boards that have failed to upload code using Arduino IDE. They were working perfectly fine in the beginning then I got this error:
"esptool.py v3.0-dev
Serial port COM18
Connecting......................................___An error occurred while uploading the sketch
A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header"
I have looked online and the solution is to press the boot/enable buttons and it should be able to upload code again. The problem is this board doesn't have either of those buttons... I saw someone solder a 10uf capacitor directly to the en pin on the esp32, I tried that and it didn't work. Can anyone help get these boards back to life and upload code on to them again? I see there is a BOOT_CFG_VDD_EXT pins on the bottom of the board, can I use these? I can't find documentation on what those pins do.
