Checkbox of "State of News" loosing value in Saved Search #26

I have several saved search with "State of News" as filter condition:

Every time I close and reopen the software it seems to loose the boxes that I had selected, forcing me to re-selecting all the condition (It happen only with the checkbox of "State of News", the filter itself and every other filter is still in place):

I migrated from the original RSSOwl (this was working fine) then RSSOwlnix 2.5 beta and now RSSOwlnix 2.6 beta

tried what you show in 2.6.0 but cannot reproduce.

you could try:

what is your os and java version? im on win7 and for rssowlnix 2.6.0 i use jre 18.3 (build 10.0.2+13)

botty88 commented 6 years ago

I tried what you suggested but it didn't work; I have Win 10 with the same version of Java jre 18.3 (build 10.0.2+13).

I tried to download the source code and executed directly from it, using the same .rssowlnix-beta directory with database: I tried opening and closing the software multiple time (after I fixed the saved search the first time, obviously) and everything worked fine. To my surprise then I re-lauched the "installed" software and now this also work well and it doesn't loose the values anymore. I have no idea what the problem was; maybe as I had done the migration from RSSOwl something got corrupted in the rssowl.db file and now it is fixed. In any case, now the problem is solved and thanks anyway for the answer.

have this for unread news myself. unknown why it reappears again even after setting checkboxes again.

Hello

I have the same problem. I've just migrated from Rssowl to RSSOwlnix 2.7.0-beta. I exported a opml file with preferences and filters from Rssowl and I imported the opml file into Rssowlnix.

In RssOwl I had a saved search with new and unread news, and it worked fine. Now in RSSOwlnix this saved search always misses the checked checkboxes when close the application.

I've tried to create a new saved search with the same criteria, but It does happen the same. When the application starts, the checkboxes of saved search are unchecked.

Any idea to resolve this problem?

Thanks

no workaround known to me, it is a bug that needs a fix.

Hello Xyrio

Thank you very much for your work and thanks for you answer. I was looking for workaround for long time.

Now I'll wait for a version with the workaround and I won't look for it anymore.

I don't know if I can help you to fix the problem. If you think I can, please tell me about it. I'll try to help you.

Best regards

I am also running into this bug Edit: appears to be working again after I unzipped jre-8u401-windows-x64.tar.gz from https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jre8-windows into RSSOwlnix\jre
