Maximize viewing space without expandable file menu #231

Using the latest issue of firefox-hide-caption, latest issue of Firefox and 
Windows 8.  I don't understand why regardless of what I try, I can't maximize 
my viewable window the way I want without using the expandable file menu.  If I 
display the file menu, it pushes everything else down and wastes space.  Not 
sure how else to explain it.
