New YT Layout wont load with YTC enabled #2293

This started 2 days ago where youtube just loads up a blank page if YTC is enabled in Tampermonkey.Disabled it loads up ok. It still works fine if you switch back to classic youtube

YTC dev 538 Chrome Dev Version 53.0.2785.89 m (64-bit)

I can confirm this issue. Youtube also changed their layout... hope this gets fixed soon.

Youtube seems to work fine here.

I'm not logged in while browsing youtube, if that's relevant.

This might not be related, but the chrome extensions uBlock origin and uMatrix are also installed. In uMatrix everything is blocked by default and only enough images, plugins, scripts, etc. are allowed to make everything work as expected. Turning off tampermonkey doesn't change anything visually (other than the YTC Buttons).

Could it be a chrome 32 vs 64 bit issue? I don't remember why i installed the 32 bit version about a year ago (when windows 7 was reinstalled).

System info

Windows 10 v1511 b10586.545 Google Chrome 53.0.2785.89 (Official Build) m (32-bit) Tampermonkey v4.1.10 YTC Dev 538 (settings reset and chrome restarted)

@duianto It could be YouTube haven't rolled out the new layout to you yet. It doesn't always happen at the same time, especially not worldwide.

This is how the new layout looks like here:

(For reference that's YouTube US.)

I tested with only Tampermonkey (all other extensions disabled, including uMatrix) with the v538 userscript, in which case only the YouTube's top bar can be seen, so it must be the new layout.

hope this gets fixed soon.

From the commit history I think YTC is most likely dead. I'd be happy to be proven wrong. Fix it yourself or look elsewhere.

If this issue is related to the new youtube layout. Then the title probably should be updated.

I also got the new layout a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't last more than half a day, before it returned to the previous layout. If i recall correctly, then i might also have had some issues with YTC and the new layout.

Turns out in my case the aforementioned layout was also an experiment that lasted for only several hours, or several sessions, not sure.

Not sure if it's "dead" but the dev version has worked until today so probably no need to develop it in the meantime. Hopefully with the new breakage it'll be updated.

Confirmed not working with new layout. The issue does not affect everyone as the rollout of the new layout is not complete.
