I've checked both of them and they seem comparable volume to me. Is it possible the conditions were different when you listened to both?

My user interface volume was at 100% and the user joined sound sounded quieter than receiving a message or invite

So is it specifically compared to message receive or invite?

In your initial message you mentioned compared to the leave sound, so that's what I was comparing it to.

I put more thought into it and both sounds generally sound quieter than the other existing notification sounds I feel like both sounds need to be made a bit louder and for them to be balanced out so that they're the same volume

Hmmm, If the sounds are generally quieter, we can increase the base volume for these. When making these sounds I wanted to avoid being too intrusive or sounding too abrupt like other existing notifications so it wouldn't be confused with other important information. The softer, gentler nature of these sounds reflects a welcoming doorbell that tries to avoid being annoying and a headache to listen to when users are frequently leaving or joining.

I would like the volume of these to be increased because if I'm away from my computer I'm probably filling things up with water or doing other things that can distract me or can inhibit my ability to hear the sound

I understand, I've made edits and caught some issues with the existing sounds that I've fixed to so I appreciate you bringing this to my attention!
