Does Spotify watermark the generated audio files? #19

Do you have experienced some watermarking? Is there some way to test it?

I have not checked this, one way to check would be to do a binary comparison between episodes downloaded by different users. I'm sure it does not watermark non-exclusive shows since these can be downloaded without a Spotify login but it might do this for exclusive shows. I can run a comparison to see whether there are differences.

Why, by the way? If you plan to distribute Spotify-exclusive content I'd suggest not doing that, instead tell those who are interested how to download it from Spotify. If Spotify-exclusive content starts showing up elsewhere they'll tighten the thumb screws which will make it harder to create something like Spodcast which would be a shame for those who prefer to use universal RSS players instead of proprietary apps.
