Conflict between Yoast SEO and BuddyBoss forum discussions breaks the Yoast metabox. #21666

Please give us a description of what happened

There is a conflict between Yoast SEO and BuddyBoss, on the Forum Discussions pages that is breaking the Yoast SEO metabox functionality. The Readability tab is stuck spinning and trying to click on the title or meta description input box results in an error.

See attached image for reference.

The error message reported is the following: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'isSavingMetaBoxes') on the file: /wp-content/plugins/buddyboss-platform/bp-forums/admin/js/topics.js?ver=2.7.00

To Reproduce

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Download and install BuddyBoss platform from here
  2. Install Yoast SEO
  3. Activate the Forum Discussions component by going to BuddyBoss > Components
  4. Create a new Discussion by going to Forums > Discussions
  5. See the error in the Yoast metabox

Expected results

  1. No errors.

Actual results

  1. Errors as described above.
