kate window positioning on 2nd screen does not remember size nor position #40

Hi, i opened a bugticket here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423191 Very strange behaviour of kate, because it only affects the 2nd screen. Your opinion?

If I remember correctly - KWin could save automatically position & size for windows only on main display. There is ton of bugs about this on the KDE bugzilla. That's some sort of technical limitation IIRC.

really? i mean, all other windows starting on the 2nd screen do not exhibit this problem (konsole, krusader, chromium, ...) Only kate? Even kwrite behaves ok... Seems a bit bizarre to me....?

Kate saves window position in the session, for me it's saved in file ~/.local/share/kate/anonymous.katesession. Upload 2 files to the bugreport: saved session for main monitor & session when window position is wrong. (Better remove [Recent Files] part, it may contain sensitive information).

updated bugticket. As i discovered, kate is sized properly on screen2 when it was last time started on screen1, but a restart of kate destroys this information. I think, the dev's did have problems finding out the window coordinates on 2nd screen and put in default values?
