In reviewing the iOS app version 1.09.09 "Settings" pages for the DVR, the following issues were noted:

Both Privacy Mask and Motion Detection grid editing pages show the respective grids, but do not display any video or even a snapshot of the selected channel/camera so the user can configure the grid relative to the scene. Both of these pages should at least display a recent snapshot of the selected camera so that grids can be edited in context.

Already Fixed in release v1.10.10

Will respond to Wirepath saying that the feature will be fixed in the next release
