No error, but no mods working? #355

I start up my game via smapi, with all mods in the appropriate folder, and nothing pops up upon startup. I get a very brief black screen but no text pops up saying what mods are or aren't working and what not. Just loads me into the game with no mods (aside from the keyboard one i guess?). It's been a year or so since I've tried modding on mobile so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also side note - how do I configure mods like elle's animals? I can't figure it out. Based on my limited understanding, the SMAPI right now has still issues regarding mod compatibility which generally means that there are mods that would not work (whether it prompts an error or not). There are people in the issue section trying to find which mods work with the alpha release so you might want to check those. It is built and kind of functions but still has issues.

I kind of figured as much. I just thought I would get an error if the mods weren't compatible or something. Is there an older version which has less issues or do I have to have the most current version due to the most recent SDV update?

At this point, while waiting for the actual Patch to come out, we basically do a trial and error method to figure out which mods work for the Alpha. While I don't really use it to heavily mod my game. I got bummed out not being able to use automate mod.

Oh... bummer. I lost my laptop a while ago so I stopped being able to play SDV (have over 1800 hours off game play on steam). I have been getting a ton of SDV videos on my fyp on tiktok and it's made me want to play again but I've played so many times vanilla that I need a bit of flavor to make it enjoyable. 🤣 Automate is definitely one of those mods I downloaded lol.

Do you have the mods in this folder ? Android/data/com.zane.stardewvalley/files/mods

My guess your mods are in stardew valley/mods

I use ES File Explorer and in there you accept som permissions. I did find som permission setting for for each folder too but can not remember how i did it. But can look it up when I get home

So if I'm reading correctly, I should move all my mods into this folder? Screenshot_20230420_075801_Files

Okay! I got it, now I'm seeing the system dialogue and errors, thank you! I'll get to fixing up what I can now.
