Like Discourse? Is that better that Discord somehow? My experience is that Forums can be time syncs to manage…. I wonder what the fastest way to set up a forum is….

@andrestack what about Github discussions, seems perfect? https://github.com/ZeroBoundLabs/hyperstaker-ui/discussions/landing
GitHub Discussions seems to be q good fit for the developer community. I reckon for the broader audience, Github might be a bit intimidating and unappealing. What about Skool? It seems to be gaining some good traction in the comminity building space.
It's not a high priority. However, i feel the need for long form clarification / discussion already and I'm wondering where's the best place for that. Also in the sense of anticipatory design, I'd like us to build accessible, inclusive systems that give stakeholders the easiest way to weigh in.
Discord: Why this platform is such a staple for the web3 culture remains mysterious to me. Disregarding my personal heresy of disapproving of it due to its aesthetics and UI approach of a "Rammstein feat. Lady Gaga concert in a Tokyo arcade at New Years", I think the platform is challenged with spam and phishing, and has a high burden of moderation effort when at scale. Also, i don't think it works for longer form conversations really well. For a quick GM, dropping a meme and a voice chat stage it's fine, and for that we have it already, right?
Discourse: Yeah, i thought about that initially. I think it also works with SourceCred, right? Optimism's gov forum runs on it, too
Github discussion: Could be effective in terms of effort, not multiple systems, less mental strain. But I agree with @andrestack it's very home-turfy for one audience and seems complicated for others
Reddit: What about a subreddit? Shares some of the chaotic qualities with discord, but has better conversational qualities and a massive user base that might find Hyperstaker on it
Skool: Interesting, didnt know about that before. Quickly checking it out it seems to be targeted for the Coaching and Improvement community to build monetizable communities with passes and subscriptions and the like.
My preference would be for discourse, but i think it's too expensive for now, if we don't host it ourselves.
