Putting this on here now to get some opinions and invite peer review. Will also ask a few folks in the UK for their opinions.

It's a good point. I think it could do with another pass to tighten up the language.

I've tightened up some of the language and put in some more explicit references to the mechanical/non-mechanical bell. Thanks, @peitor @sf105
