MPDdroid stream error: Unspecified media player error. Network related operation error.. #828

I'm using MPDroid 1.07 on Android OS, v6.0, and my mpd client is 0.19.19 (tried also with 0.19.18)

I've set httpd audio interface (lame encoder) and confirm it works, i.e.:

mpv http://192.168.0.4:8000

plays my music with just httpd enabled audio plugin.

In MPDroid I've set the same address and port, but it errors:

MPDdroid stream error: Unspecified media player error. Network related operation error..

Any ideas?

Using https://github.com/wseemann/ServeStream works

MPDroid 1.06 also seem to work, but I removed it as interface is poor compared to new

Had same Issue, try to disable Battery optimization for MPDroid, this fixed Streaming for me.
