Document Deploying on popular PaaS providers #52

We should at least document deployment procedures on heroku, openshift, and dotcloud

maximegaillard commented 11 years ago

Agreed with you. I'm trying to deploy on heroku and it's kind of complicated...

buntha commented 11 years ago

I am not sure about dotcloud but I was using heroku and because of less documentation , I explored other options and I landed to Jelastic. I find it very comfortable and user friendly and actually a bulk of documentations. I started checking the following comparision. http://blog.jelastic.com/2012/02/09/jelastic-versus-heroku/

@buntha I had no trouble deploying at Heroku, and still use it for some test instances. However, they dont support websockets and so that pretty much ruled them out for prod.

buntha commented 11 years ago

hmm, in that case not being biased even I would say websocket os very well supported in jelastic http://blog.jelastic.com/2012/08/20/websockets-in-jelastic-better-faster-stronger/

But yeah I won't say that is the only choice but just wanted to suggest an option.
